St. Mary’s University Rugby Club raised £2715 for the IPF at their 15/16 end of season awards dinner at the Spirit of Rugby in Twickenham.

On a balmy April evening current players, supporters, and alumni from St. Mary’s University Rugby gathered to support the RFU Injured Players Foundation for their annual awards dinner at the home of English rugby, in the prestigious Members Lounge overlooking the hallowed turf of HQ.

With special guest appearances from a number of well-known faces from the world of sport for a series of Q&A sessions including Serge Betsen, Christian Wade, Andrea Masi, Lorenzo Cittadini, Carlo Festuccia, Chris Bell, JP Doyle, and Teddy Sheringham as part of the evening’s entertainment, the season’s stand out players received their awards and a successful season was comprehensively celebrated.

All proceeds from the raffle and auction held on the evening were generously donated to the Injured Players Foundation, along with a number of other kind donations from attendees in support of the charity.

The Injured Players Foundation would like to thank Ty Sterrey for organising the event, everyone at St Mary’s University rugby for their support and a big thank you to the Wasps players who attended, and to Serge Betsen, Chris Bell, JP Doyle and Teddy Sheringham for their support as well.
